Possibly fighting easy-to-destroy stuff for their drops (think tough Scouts not Interceptors) at most. My complete uneducated guess is that, with knowing nothing about the Maelstrom still, at first we're going to be diving deep inside to scan/collect stuff, then escape and turn them in for a CG.
MAELSTROM GAME BEST SHIP FULL
The caustic damage build up gets crazy as you near the 50 km mark, and even 3-4 Caustic Sinks are going to be full by the time you reach there so you won't have much time hanging around before you're completely out of those at that level if it's that caustic the whole way in. Caustic Crystals might lead to that in the future, unless those will be involved in the Shutdown Field Neutralizer (though I doubt it). unless we get some new corrosion-resistant stuff. No idea what to expect just yet so I don't want to say "Build for XYZ," but I'm going to imagine we're going to need speed at first. I feel like something is about to change in the course of the war.

The principle of the game is simple: the ships are caught in a storm and you have to get them back to. If you guys have any suggestion as for what ship I could use to wander across the insides of the caustic clouds, I would be interested to have your opinions and build ideas. You pilot your ship through the dreaded Maelstrom asteroid belt-suddenly your best friend thrusts towards you and fires, directly at your cockpit. BATTLE ROYALE WITH PIRATE SHIPS AND SEA MONSTERS MAELSTROM GAMEPLAY - YouTube BATTLE ROYALE WITH PIRATE SHIPS AND SEA MONSTERS MAELSTROM GAMEPLAYGrim fantasy combined with thunderous. Vikings in the Maelstrom is a logic and puzzle game. A fast ship? An SRV? Considering the "baby goid" we also saw during the latest FDev live, I don't really know what ship to chose for the future of the AX endeavour. The interior of the maelstroms might require something entirely different. I was considering getting an AX Corvette (I use a Krait MKII for xenocide rn) but I fear it might actually be "too late" in the war to really profit from a large ship based only on raw combat and I'm getting burned out of combat anyway. This sounds exciting, but do we have any idea or evidence of what we might find in there? More importantly, what kind of ship should be used to get closer to the thing? "thing" inside the Maelstroms will apparently soon be possible (probably U15).
